Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
Southern Five RPC, an EDD organization, is pleased to present the resultant report entitled Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for Alexander, Johnson, Massac, Pulaski and Union Counties, Illinois. Our CEDS document is made up of four main elements: analysis, vision, action plan, and evaluation. It also establishes criteria for evaluation of the process and for the periodic update of the document. This document discusses the five-county area and its current economy, a statement of change, strategies and activities, performance measures, and the evaluation process. Finally, the CEDS is to be used as a development strategy for the District designed to aid local officials in wisely targeting the future use of limited Federal and State assistance with the District so as to maximize their benefits for the Region as a whole.
